Mammoth Moments in Miniature: Sept. 3 to Sept. 9

Mammoth Moments in Miniature provides quick updates on campus happenings. This week's edition includes the WGC’s annual “Pottery and Pals” event, the STEM Summer Research Poster Session, and the Five College Dance Orientation Concert.

Pottery and Pals

The Women’s & Gender Center (WGC) is hosting its fourth annual “Pottery and Pals” on Sept. 4, 2-4 p.m. Director of WGC Hayley Nicholas will lead a pinch pot-making workshop open to all students. The event will take place in Keefe Campus Center 211.

STEM Summer Research Poster Session

Over 144 students who participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program and other research projects in the country will present their projects in a poster session in the Science Center on Sept. 5 from 3-4:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Five College Dance Orientation Concert

The concert, which will showcase many faculty choreographies, aims to provide an opportunity for student dances to connect with professors and peers. Featured dancers include Chris Aiken, Angie Hauser, Jake Meginsky, Laura Joseph, Lailye Weidman, Angelica Monteiro, and Neri Torres. Performances will take place on Sept. 5 from 7-8 p.m. at Kirby Memorial Theater.
